Birmingham 11+ Tutor

The New Schools Admissions Code, by law from 2012, due to take effect for admissions for Entry in September 2013, states that schools must take all reasonable steps to inform parents of the outcome of tests before the closing deadline for applications on October 31st 2012.

Arrangements for 11+ admissions in Birmingham have changed for entry from September 2011. There is now a “Consortium of Grammar Schools in Birmingham”, comprising the following schools:

  • Bishop Vesey’s Grammar School

• King Edward VI Aston School

• King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Boys

• King Edward VI Camp Hill School for Girls

• King Edward VI Five Ways School

• King Edward VI Handsworth School

• Sutton Coldfield Grammar School for Girls

• Handsworth Grammar School

Queen Mary’s Grammar School & Queen Mary’s High School

Now part of the ’Consortium of Grammar Schools for Shropshire, Walsall and Wolverhampton

These schools are now part of a new Consortium set up recently for the ease of Grammar School applications.

All applicants must complete two forms: the Local Authority secondary transfer form and a test registration form which can be downloaded from any school’s website. The form should be returned to the school at which you want your child to take the test.
